Totally confused; we setup a CloudWatch alarm that notified SNS topic when OK only. I added when ALARM too. nowhere in the lab did we trigger the slack notification from the natural way. We should have made another lambda that purposefully raise RuntimeError() to trigger the cloudwatch alarm and then see the notification appear in slack. I tried to make this work and it just didn't. It seemed that CloudWatch would notify SNS email list only. Ran out of time and got frustrated.
