Five stars for content, but the progress tracker just doesn't work. I completed everything, yet only the first and last progress states were shown as being "done". Great content however.

1) There's an error with the provided sample python code. `event` is a python dict, not a json string that needs to be deserialized. 2) would be good to see an overall architectural diagram of what the cloudwatch -> SNS -> lambda -> slack integration actually looks like. like what would trigger the cloudwatch alarm? is it some kind of event in the AWS ecosystem? a diagram would provide better "big picture" context.
