Very simple and straight forward lab. This lab represented my first dollar spent on AWS training. I consider it money well spent. Great job setting up an easy and straight forward service for learning about your products and services. Kudos!

Couldn't get a Load Balancer to work. I tried twice and got an error about VPC on the page where the load balancers are started.

As an extra test, I shut down one of the instances behind the ELB and confirmed that the ELB continued to correctly serve traffic only from the still running EC2 instance. I then started the stopped instance and observed the following that might be useful to comment on: - Very slow startup time for the instance compared to the first time - The script starts to fail so whilst a HTML page is returned, the instance data is missing. - As this is an application error rather than a HTTP error, the ELB eventually logs that instance as healthy even though it isn't working. Would be good to at least have some pointers of where more can be learned on this topic.
