There are some missing instructions. I was unable to get my EC2 instances to show up in the target list for my load balancer.

It will be nice to create Task 3a : "Add server to running loadbalancer"

I would suggest adding an additional endpoint on the apache server that dynamically reconfigures it to stop passing the healthcheck to allow users to investigate situations wheree one (or all) instances stop passing the healthcheck.

It took the longest to be able to get the ELB dns pasted in the browser's address bar and get the image. When launching both instances at the same time they both launch in the same availability zone and i think that the elb doesn't work properly with that. I had to mess around with the nacls and security groups to troubleshoot. in the end only the instance in US-west-2b seemd to be working trough the elb. Also i did not like the fact that I could not see the cloud formation template so I can copy and reuse it.
