This was quite a dramatic experience. I registered to get the ML Certification, and this qwiklab is an essential. 1/ I created the model.py and run the training, qwiklabs kept returning "It doesn't look like you've completed this step yet" 2/ I continued anyway, In the second check it failed to see the models that were trained and available on the instance. 3/ I kept on going hoping that it would improve, finally it took AI Platform 8minutes to prepare for the training job to start, so the qwiklab ran out of time. I will give it another try, and see if something was wrong with this particular environment. If the error returns, I'll just drop out of the ML Engineering certification program. (Why are you putting us through a tensorflow 1.15 tutorial anyway?)

Maybe we can expand the time to 1hr 30 minutes to be reading all we are calling in each step

lab steps were a failure. I couldn't create a new directory and couldn't get past pushd ~/data-science-on-gcp/09_cloudml/flights/ cp PKG-INFO ~/tensorflow/flights cp setup.cfg ~/tensorflow/flights cp setup.py ~/tensorflow/flights popd -bash: pushd: /home/student-01-642beb09accd/data-science-on-gcp/09_cloudml/flights/: No such file or directory

very good. thank you. took me a while to find the logs in Log explorer, it has a lot of buttons. "You will see a large number of events, but there will be an event towards the end of the job run with a description that starts with "Saving dict for global step ..."" maybe add to search for "master-replica-0" on the beginning of the text to help find it, that did the trick for me. thank you & stay safe.

It would great if I was familiar with Nano. Very difficult to debug Lab was rushed it would nice to have time to read through and understand what is going on.
