The time is short to also understand the code (especially if not very familiar with TF 1.x). The IDE is cumbersome to work with. During the lab you switch back and forth from the files adding some code, some of with is commented (so useless?). It feels like the lab is designed to get the attention away from the actual model training and deployment to "copy paste as fast as i can". I had to perform twice the lab, first is because i tried to understand what is happening. By the time i deployed the job to the AI Platform i still had 10 minutes left. Job didn't pass queue and i had to retake the lab. Maybe add a bit more time to the lab (30 minutes? ).
