I am curious how the user logs into Linux when it does not have a user defined on the system. I checked /etc/passwd and it seemed to be in my-vm-1 but then disappeared when I reconnected later. It would be interesting to understand how this is managed. Normally I would expect a new VM to provide you an ID and password for an administrator to begin setup.
