The lab guide is missing the step to set the project ID, see below. Welcome to Cloud Shell! Type "help" to get started. To set your Cloud Platform project in this session use “gcloud config set project [PROJECT_ID]” student_00_11b99da6b7d0@cloudshell:~$ gcloud compute zones list | grep us-central1 ERROR: (gcloud.compute.zones.list) The required property [project] is not currently set. It can be set on a per-command basis by re-running your command with the [--project] flag. You may set it for your current workspace by running: $ gcloud config set project VALUE or it can be set temporarily by the environment variable [CLOUDSDK_CORE_PROJECT] student_00_11b99da6b7d0@cloudshell:~$ gcloud config set compute/zone us-central1-b ERROR: (gcloud.config.set) The required property [project] is not currently set. There was some issue in connecting from SSH of VM2 to VM1....it said that you need key to connect and it was not permitting the connection. Had to then open a separate SSH for VM1 and execute the remaining commands.
