I'm constantly getting 'The key must be correct 256-bit string encoded in standard base64' error although I strictly follow the instructions provided. Repeated the process several times with the same result. Even when using the instructions on https://cloud.google.com/compute/docs/disks/customer-supplied-encryption website, I'm getting the same error. Please note that I use the editor in GCP console to copy the line.
