I managed the lab and did receive the SNS update as described. I did, however, appear to have some trouble with replacing the MD5 hash. I edited hash as described but still received an error saying that it didn't match what was expected. Nice lab though!

Multiple errors the script did not create inbound ACL and the lambda triggers at the end gave an error of insufficient permissions.
