My lambda function was autosaved with the default print "hello world" implementation first, I had to figure out how to update it. I think the explanation of contents of https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/us-west-2-aws-training/awsu-spl/spl-88/scripts/CreateThumbnail.zip should have been provided. As this archive is huge and contains PIL library source code as well. Initially, I was under impression that those libraries are provided by the AWS Lambda execution environment.

Not satisfied. Code is failing. Loading the URL into us-east-1 throws an error. Complains is should reference us-west-2
