I was able to complete this lab successfully. Earlier I was putting a value for AZ, rather than Region, in the CLI-command.

Could not connect to the endpoint URL: "https://autoscaling.us-west-2b.amazonaws.com/" This is the message received following the directions in the lab. So I dd the whole lab using us-west-2 instead of 2b and that work but scored zero on the lab.

For those who experienced "Could not connect to the endpoint URL:…” error, STEP26 Default Region Name must be a region name instead of a AZ name (e.g. us-west-2 instead of us-west-2a) It would be best if qwikLABS adds a comment to the step26, as it's confusing by the info provided (the info provided is AZ name instead of Region name)

I think it did not execute any cloud formation template. when I open the console. there were no instances created.

Something wrong in this lab, I tried 3 times, and all three times I got the following error message while creating launch-configuration: Could not connect to the endpoint URL: "https://autoscaling.us-west-2c.amazonaws.com/"
