There were errors deploying version 2 and then attempting to stop and start the rails instance. That was educational, actually, but I'm not sure it was because I missed step 44 or another reason. I downloaded the logs, so may be able to figure it out, except that I would not have been able to reach the instance with ssh to see the stack trace (path given in log) since it wasn't running. I was able to continue by deleting everything except the stack, starting over, skipping to version 2. (I did try to ssh to the public DNS when the new one was running, but it did not connect. I didn't try the IP.) Why do you say to download putty and shutdown ssh when there is no ssh step in the lab? (I didn't download putty since it is for Windows.) I would have given this feedback about the instructions even if I hadn't come up with a reason to connect to my instance with ssh. The instructions section The AWS Console is numbered 2, 3, 3, 4, ... That was fun. Thanks!

I had made a mistake the first time I did this lab, which prevented it from continuing. I thought this was a very valuable lab.
