i think there was a problem with the version2 git code. The site never loaded properly... always got "We're sorry, but something went wrong" error message when refreshing the page.

Pathetic. It's obvious Qwiklabs is purposefully making their AWS content sub-par since Google bought them. The app we're working on is even referred to by the wrong name at one point in this lab. And following all instructions, the app will not deploy. Fails every time. Wow.
