a few discrepencies in the content (like deleting vs shutting down) and also would be nice to have instructions on JDBC connection string where you have to remove the 'redshift' if connecting with a personal client

The SQL gave a good sense of capabilities. I know a little SQL so was able to get something from seeing the syntax again.

The lab asks you to "shutdown" the cluster but that option is not available. You have to use the delete.
