All the entries were saved to Dynamo DB even on the minimum throughput. I think it's good for AWS, but it's not what was meant to be shown in the course.

This lab is a bit of a disaster, with outdated information on DynamoDB and some omissions on getting Twitter working with the app. The whole clever "graying out" of Tweets to show the reduced capacity doesn't work at all because DynamoDB isn't dropping inserts, but merely throttling them. Thus, you'll see the rate that Tweets are displayed on the page decrease after a few seconds, rather than what the lab manual says will happen. Oh, also... just so you know (if you're doing this at work, for instance), when you hit the app through your browser, it'll start streaming public Tweets from lots of people you don't follow, and also downloading their Twitter pictures. Expect plenty of inappropriate content. Brilliant!
