Login doesn't work with the cloudfront domain (the cookie doesn't seem to be honoured) I changed the setting under Cookie Settings -> Cookie domain (set to the cloudfront domain) but it didn't work

Horrible lab. 1. step 43 fails. either need to create a new identity or fill one in. default as instructed does neither, ergo failure. 2. step 19. selecting the default is a big mistake It took 31 minutes to deploy. every change makes it sit there, "in progress". selecting us/canada/europe cut down the deployment to a reasonable amount of time. I finally got the lab complete with 13 minutes to spare. I tried creating a cloudfront distribution with just us/canada/europe, and the time it took was reasonable. 3. you create a 404 message, etc, but you do nothing to test any of the cloudfront tech in the lab.

Wow, didn't realize the world has become simpler, well at least in getting your content served at the edges around the world with hardly much effort :)
