This won't get zone automatically. After a restart of a lab I managed to find actual zone so it went through. First try was Europe west 8 so Cloud SQL didn't manage it. gcloud sql instances create my-demo \ --database-version=MYSQL_8_0 \ --edition=ENTERPRISE \ --tier=db-custom-2-7680 \ --zone=<ql-variable key="project_0.startup_script.project_zone" placeHolder="<Lab Zone>"></ql-variable> \ --root-password=ChangeMe1!

The instructions are inconsistent with the current BigQuery interface. Some of the instructions are not suited for a beginner level lab. Otherwise, it was great
