This is a good lab but I was unable to complete the analyst work when I tried to invoke the Hive application, I kept getting Java Exceptions regarding security permissions: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.RuntimeException: org.apache.hadoop.security.AccessControlException: Permission denied: user=ec2-user, access=WRITE, inode="/user":hdfs:hadoop:drwxr-xr-x at org.apache.hadoop.hdfs.server.namenode.FSPermissionChecker.check(FSPermissionChecker.java:319) at org.apache.hadoop.hdfs.server.namenode.FSPermissionChecker.checkPermission(FSPermissionChecker.java:219) at org.apache.hadoop.hdfs.server.namenode.FSPermissionChecker.checkPermission(FSPermissionChecker.java:189) at org.apache.hadoop.hdfs.server.namenode.FSDirectory.checkPermission(FSDirectory.java:1663) I added the ports 80 and 22 as asked in the lab, but still could not access. I'd be happy to try it again. Let me know if there's something I need to adjust on my side.
