Extremely frustrating having multiple issues starting cluster: first being taken to N. Virginia where the only allowed EC2 size wasn't available, getting error messages about permissions when I tried a different size, and then have my account blocked from trying to troubleshoot. Took easily over 2 hours and much frustrating and repeating steps. Other than that... don't feel particularly competent in the architecture, mostly just ran some very complex SQL commands.
