Maybe it's just me, but in step 6.6 "You can also view the topic you just made in the Cloud Console. Navigate to Navigation menu > Pub/Sub > Topics." Pub/Sub isn't in the navigation menu, which might be confusing for some users (you can search for it though and it's all good)
