I'm raising a support case for this: The cron job set up at step 71 is useless because it doesn't include the periodic generation of the static version (covered in step 54). wpstatic.sh could be integrated in the cron but the script needs to be modified to run non-interactively first (it prompts for a yes at the wget stage every time, and can't run silently). As a result, if you follow the whole guide, you need to run these commands interactively (extracted from step 54) in lieu of a new step in between 77 and 78 for the step 78 to make any sense: cd /var/www/html/wordpress; sudo /bin/sh wpstatic.sh Also far from being an Expert lab, except if you start troubleshooting the lab, which is not the goal of this... Or is it Expert level because the questions raised in the Conclusion cover some pretty interesting challenges??? Pretty disappointing overall :(

You need to convert wordpress to static files first before copying to S3 each time via cron, ie need to run, sudo /bin/sh wpstatic.sh
