I couldn't finish: the instructions install PostgreSQL 9.5 by default on Ubuntu, which invalids the next installation. Correct command for PostGIS is: sudo apt-get -y install postgis postgresql-9.5-postgis-2.2 Couldn't see the US states in GeoServer after having correctly uploaded data in RDS. Too many commands to follow without explaining too much the Geospatial aspect of the data. As a result of time spend debugging, I couldn't watch the results of my auto scale group. Overall, suboptimal experience. Please update the lab with recent software versions. Thank you.

had a strange connection timeout when connecting to pg and couldn't find an explanation :-/
