outdated... it's using elb classic which limits you to 5 containers (lab only creates 5 instances). you can only have 1 container per instance because elb classic requires you to map the container ports to a host port. i was able to setup an alb/target group, modify the service (both reducing resource requirements and removing the container port) to bring up 500 containers on the instances provided by the lab. https://s.ngntr.com/wTKhJZ.png
