I could not select the elastic load balancer in the Create area (it was present, I could see it on the EC2 page, it just was not there in the dropdown). That pretty much stopped me 1/3 through the lab.

Very hard to assign a unique name for the Service name field. Since it is demo, users should be allowed any name they want.
