Overall great session, but one confusing point: 81 says: Your RDP session will be disconnected when the public IP address changes. That’s OK, you won’t need it anymore in this lab. But then 83 says: 83.Enter the new IP address of your web server in the Internet Explorerbrowserrunning inside your RDP session. If successful, you will see your default web site which is not running at this point.

This was too fast. I needed about 30 minutes more. The time should not be limited for finishing a lab. That is what self paced means. Once a lab is finished, then I am willing to pay to repeat it. This current arrangement makes me feel cheated.

Fairly trivial example of creating a Windows Server 2012 instance from an AMI and assigning an elastic IP

The links of the change web page on a remote system redirect to 169.254.169.254 which is only accessible on the actual host.
