It was a great exercise and gives an insight on using the dashboard, quick view of the IIs Server and web page.

I didn't save the RDP decrypted password so I couldn't reconnect to the server after I assigned an elastic IP address. I don't think this was mentioned in the instructions. Maybe add that so that someone doesn't have this issue in the future. If it is in there and I missed it, then my bad.

The lab instructions were easy and straightforward to follow. Good job! One thing I noticed that after I associated the EIP to my instance, the RDP connection got disconnected - I had to reconnect using the new EIP.

Decent quick start for people who haven't seen AWS at all before. I ran this lab through an AWS webinar and I expected a LOT more from the webinar than just this lab, but that isn't the lab's fault. Some of the metadata links worked, but not this one: http://169.254.169.254/latest/metadata/placement/availability-zone
