The DNS and Elastic IP addresses could not be accessed by my system. PuTTY access worked great. But there was no www/html underneath /var. I created them but the access wasn't available. I assumed I dd something wrong as the DNS name could not be pinged either... Unable to connect Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at ec2-54-200-117-235.us-west-2.compute.amazonaws.com.

However, It would be nice to have some tips how to cleanup instances and other stuff (elastic IPs, EBS). Especially in what order it have to be done.

a bit more. This took about 5 minutes. Sure wasn't an hour.

the labs for 2 hours is not required at all, it only gives simple instruction to create a new EC2 instance and assign EIP, that's all, less than 20 minutes. Waste my token.

cutting and pasting commands from the instructions does NOT work. yum install of httpd, php did not work - needed to do it manually. needed to mkdir -p /var/www/html.

The directory /var/www/html was not available and the course didn't mentioned if I had to create or not. I assumed this was installed from the HTTPd server.
