I found the section explaining putty keys for windows a little confussing and not clear in what it required of the user.

Could not get the PPK key to work with the Instance for access to the instance via putty. I would get logged into the instance, put in the ID in and get a message - key not working or something. That's not a huge deal as I've done enough I know what I am trying to do.

ssh to the server doesn't work. tried everything, opened all ports, tweaked the security group, and still can't ssh. i could ping, but could not ssh to the server. spent all lab trying to make it work but it would not respond to ssh. even tried to reboot server
