Finding the pem key page was a little hard - it wasn't easy to distinguish my account page, qwiklabs default page the lab page etc.

I was able to ping public ip , but not public dns name or reach the page. i fixed this by assigning a elastic ip and I was giving a new public dns name and it works. go figure! ^_^

Randomly the first time my instance failed due to hardware issues. My Putty was not connecting after following the instructions. I was able to determine the cause by looking in the Management Console. That was an extra lesson!!
