Would prefer a version that uses Linux instances. I don't have RDP installed on my Mac, and I found the Windows-specific settings a tad distracting. Possibly because of the previous point, I found the scope of this lab a bit difficult to keep track of. I was vaguely aware of the VPC that I was building up, but there were so many settings to keep track of, it was very easy to get lost. I think I would have had an easier time if the steps were grouped by operation. E.g., instead of 10 steps to create a new EC2 instance, with each step representing a single screen/action, I would have found it easier to follow a single step that just listed out all of the settings — maybe even requiring me to do a little bit of exploration to find the correct places to apply each of the settings. This probably would only work if there were some automated way for me to check my work, in case I miss something during one step that is important to complete for a later step.

There was one place that machine type t2.small was used when t2.micro is needed. I triple-checked all my steps, but still could not eventually figure out why my bastion host was unreachable from my development station. Otherwise it was ok.

I was not able to open the console for over 40 mins. The Lab Details page says there is a 0m setup time.
