time estimate is a bit off, also I ended up on the wrong instance page (in myDB rather than at instance overview) which meant my refresh button wasn't doing what I thought it should be.

The Database creation process was SO SLOW that it never created before the I lab ended. Everything took a REALLY long time to create. I finally had to end the lab with 13 minutes left to spare...
