It is not clear how to connect the two availability zones and perform failover. Security groups are wide open too. Not sure what is inside of NAT server.

The lab instructions say that I can connect to a web server instance by using the Public IP in a browser. That would not work for me. I had to use the Public DNS to reach the Web Server instance. That was very confusing to me. Also, I did not really edit any routing table as the summary suggested, only assigned a new one that was already on the drip down. I can see that the public and private subnets have different accessibility to the internet but I really don't understand how AWS knows that.
