I felt like there were steps missing after deploying the RDS instance. It would have been interesting to deploy a web app that uses the database to prove that the configuration worked as expected.

This lab covered alot - but lacked testing at the end. There's no validation path for accessing your mysql server - Which one might do via ssh (which is not added during security group setup)

We didn't do anything that demonstrated that how to connect to a private subnet, and we didn't do anything with ACLs.

Last section (step78?) was out of sync with what was on the screen so could not complete last steps. Appears screen display no longer matches the instructions for last step

It would even better if after MySql DB was created, there is a step to add something to the DB and then view it through the browser, for example.

you were so close...why not have the webserver get data from the database...the lab goes through the trouble of having me make all kinds of VPC and subnets..why not go the extra mile and have the db get values from a db?
