SQL Server in the private subnet didn't have outbound access to internet. The description says outbound calls are allowed through the NAT server. Sent support the following question: Per the description on page 8, "NAT servers are for outbound requests", database server in private subnet should be able to access internet. I logged on to the SQL Server via the Windows Bastion host and can't open www.google.com. Page 12 says, "The NAT will act as a router that allows SQL server to make outbound calls to the Internet". On page 13, bullet item 55 has "so by default, no subnet is able to communicate with the internet" -- this is contradicting statement about SQL server able to make outbound calls. If the route table with "Main" set to yes has the target the id of NAT server for destination "0.0.0.0/0", doesn't it mean that the outbound calls should happen through the NAT. Should something be configured on the NAT server to allow outbound calls?
