Couldn't connect to bastion server

The images showing the setup of the security groups were really hard to see. Also, the lab seemed to imply I could generate the image showing the servers in the VPC, but never specified how to do this. A little more discussion of why and how a VPC would be used would be helpful. The lab sort of has this, but a clearer discussion of how the web server in the public subnet would be connected to the SQL server in the private subnet and how the bastion server would be used to allow administrative access to the SQL server would help.
