it is doable with a guide telling you where to put the snippet but it doesn't explain why (e.g. the parameter for PDT)

It's pretty tough for someone who does not know SQL so well. The steps to take seem pretty easy, because you're copying stuff from the lab, but that does not make you understand what you're actually doing. Also, I think it'd be nice if you also see where this can go wrong, so common errors etc.
