I need to now restart it because I couldn't finish it in the allotted time. This difficulty was centered on 2 things: 1. Time it took AWS to create the table was pretty long (this was a Wednesday at ~2130 hours Pacific) 2. Unclear directions around the arn Role string replacement. It was a simple task, but it was unclear what was needed. This meant that each time I tried something, the query would attempt to run. Since there isn't a cancel query option, I needed to let all the queries run to completion, which was mostly stepping away and coming back to check to see that they failed. That ate most of the time. I liked that the lab set me expectations at this point for 10 seconds and 49,990 rows. It meant I knew early whether the query was failing. It didn't save the lab from timing out, though.

Instructions are very clear. Structured so that it is even suitable for learners who have never been exposed to SQL before. Once you finish, you would even have a fundamental grasp of the SQL language.

Very nice little lab to get the first hands-on with RedShift. Could be enhanced with a little information video to begin with explaining the benefits of RedShift, cloud and so on. I would also have liked to see some useful queries to demonstrate RedShift instead of the irrelevant ones included with the lab. Details though, generally a great lab.
