The UI has clearly changed since this was written. There are more permissions now that are not clearly indicated in the instructions.

This lab needs some tweaking on your end. From step 22 forward the lab does not work because "Error, Access Denied occurs each time the student is instructed to Alter Permissions for the object or the bucket. Around step 45 the instructions are to create a bucket policy, A very useful lesson. But unfortunately the policy can not be saved because of the same ERROR,Access Denied. These labs are a GREAT Idea. I was very pleased to find them as a way to polish my knowledge and experience. BUT the fact that 2 of the last 3 I have attempted contained a roadblock to the labs completion is growing tiresome. (Sorry I dont mean to be picky but ... well the labs themselves dont exactly live up to the AWS Pillers.

The S3 system has been updated since this lab was written. By default S3 buckets block public access and also block you from adding rules that allow public access. There is no step to turn them off in this lab, so you cannot add the rules the lab asks you to.

Quick and easy view of basic S3 functionality. Needs to be updated with the latest changes to default account settings for S3 which block public file ACLs and public bucket policies.
