I've managed it to be graded, but I was like a blind puppy in a maze. The descriptions says create Dataproc cluster with everything default - it means the region and zone is us-central/a). But it is not graded like that. Customer support said it should be "global" region. But it was still not graded. Only after brute-forcing to `global/us-west-1a` it was graded... Lab says upgrade the cluster master node machine type, but it is not possible, you can only edit the number of nodes. After submitting the job `mjtelco-test-3` - it was not graded?! Reacreating the cluster in the zone `us-central-1a` solved the problem. Sick. Lab says that after upgrading the master node and increasing the number of workers to 4: the job will run under 42s. But the job runs more.

I didn't manage to make it graded. Also description does not match what should be done: - For cluster creation there is nothing about region/zone and it says use the default parameters (that is us-central), but customer support said it should be "global" zone... - Lab says upgrade the cluster master node machine type, but it is not possible, you can only edit the number of nodes. - Lab says that after upgrading the master node and increasing the number of workers to 4: the job will run under 42s. But the job runs 47s in my case.

I did not get the score updated and it remained stuck at 5/30 despite successfully completing all the steps and score milestones

The lab exercise itself was fine. Good practice. However, the lab only gave me credit for step 1, even though I followed the instructions exactly as listed and I received the expected results. Whenever I would go to the scoring section and press Run Step, it would say 0 points for all steps except for 1. I left the instance running to see if it might pick it up after a period of time and it still did not. I discovered that the issue was the Region for the cluster. The default for my instance was us-central1. Once I changed it to global, I received credit for the stop. The instructions did not indicate to watch for this, it said to leave all other fields as the default values.
