I tried repeatedly to start the dataproc cluster in the east region and it kept giving me an error, citing insufficient resources available. I even did a test in central and it worked fine. Why force the lab to have to use a specific region if you can't make some guarantees that those resources will be available in that region? Or, you have the labs switch to different regions, so if you restart the lab, changing the required region, then you might have a chance of completing the lab and not have to come back later and hope it will work. That is just bad form.
