at the end of task 2, there's a missing step before first step as shown below which is to click the "validate lookML" button first then the "commit change" button comes out. "Send LookML changes from development branch to production 1. Click Commit Changes & Push."

the lookML code took a while to load to the point i thought there was a bug and almost gave up on the course. would also appreciate knowing more about what updating the LookML actually does in a wider context since it felt like just a copy and paste job from the instructions
