Too simple, not really advanced, missing integration examples using AWS SDK or javascript. Especially with features like faceting, boosting, etc.

There are too many vague 'click next to continue' statements, which glosses over the actual real implementation strategy that in production we'd need to know about. One example is setting policies to allow all - the lab states this is not good practice but offers no real world example of what should be done.

Could not create cloudsearch domain. It was stuck in loading state

It's a good lab, but it does take a while of waiting for cloudsearch to initialize (more than 10 minutes).Luckily there is information to read about search engines in the tutorial while you wait.
