Possibly due to brokenness in the cloud today, several of the commands specified (even copied directly) did not produce desired results. the 'run' nginx could not be exposed: $ kubectl expose deployment nginx --port 80 --type LoadBalancer Error from server (NotFound): deployments.extensions "nginx" not found Later the secure-monolith never got past the "Creating" stage. Will retry later.

The Command "kubectl expose deployment nginx --port 80 --type LoadBalancer" never started the service. Kept failing with "Not Found" error.

There was some issues with kubectl commands to create a pod a deploy the service, it took me several minutes while I read the kubernates documentation to resolve the issue

there a re a few mistakes in the commands, such as "kubectl run" which does not actually createa deployment. "kubectl deployment" does
