The instructions say to press stop on the my-vm and then click on the title and look for default services. I had clicked on the my-vm without waiting for it to stop and couldn't find the option. If the instructions don't already say to wait for the instance to stop maybe that would help.

Installing the monitoring and logging agents both failed.
