This lab had issues with the project id not being set properly, causing one of the environment variables not to exist. After fixing the project id and restoring the yaml file -- I was able to get the remainder to work. I think that the monitoring of cpu usage looks better and is more practical from the Computer Engine->VM Instances panel than the Stackdriver monitoring panel but unfortunately this lab still stresses Stackdriver.

Installing logging agent threw errors. Also instruction to see the metrics was not clear. I don't understand how your vm will show up in metrics. The instruction should be elobrate.

Script used ZONE instead of MY_ZONE variable (failed). Manually corrected in nano with "us-central1-a" and it ran.
