lots of issue with this lab
Amrit T. · Reviewed about 5 years ago
The lab has several serious issues: - the setup instructions are outdated, various step need manual fixing and checking until one gets the Notebook up and running, losing a lot of time on the way - the progress checks are not stable, returning false in many cases where the step was performed (perhaps it returns false because the first attempt was unsuccessful, but should be more flexible and deal with users making multiple attempts for a particular step!) - time is wasted at the beginning by configuring AI Pipelines even though this is not at all used or needed in the lab

Lots of issues with the exercises. As an example, the "gcloud compute instances create" created a general VM and not an AI Platform one, where JupyterLab would have been available

there are several critical bugs in the tutorial, such as a missing account in the first step (it is even not possible to create it in IAM), and the created and the deployed pipeline is not checked even it is done (in the fist exercise the same worked but not now)

Nothing Worked as it was supposed to. I created my pipeline instance, like in Week3 of this course and My progress didin't check. From there on all problems... Disapointed, this is my last lab of the course and I just realize that I wasted a whole week...

It is a very interesting lab which taught me a lot, but the lab is also riddled with bugs (like cloud run service account not exiting, and the lab totally fails to acknowledge I activated kubeflow pipelines)
