Using custom containers with AI Platform Training Reviews

Lots of issues in the Lab starting with the missing Cloud Build service account, some Notebook cells requiring --region argument, inability to create a version of the model makes this an impossible lab to finish.

Pro: - Steps are mostly clear described Con: - Full of bugs (turning the lab into a rather difficult detective game) - various steps consume a lot of runtime (aka: user has to wait for something to run/finish) which make this lab in 2h close to impossible (especially given the bugs) The points above should be easy to fix and would turn a rather frustrating experience into a smooth and interesting one. So far it's frustrating at best.

took me quite a lot of time to figure out cloud build service account. Pipeline task never succeed even after recreating the cluster and kubeflow.

- There are quite some bugs in the lab which turn it more into a rather difficult detective game. - Furthermore, some of the steps are consuming a lot of time such that the 2h turn out to be rather short - especially in combination with the bugs. - The description of the steps is rather clear (if you ignore the bugs for a moment), but I certainly miss some short explanations when there are 'blanks' to fill in. The points above should be easy to fix and would turn a rather frustrating experience into a smooth and interesting one.

lots of issue with this lab, cant writefrom BQ to GCS. This lab is pretty big and should be given extra time of 30-1hr on top of 2hr. Great stuff adding a solution to previoussly Git clone doesnt showing up on the file browser of ai platform etc

The command gcloud projects add-iam-policy-binding $PROJECT_ID \ > --member serviceAccount:$CLOUD_BUILD_SERVICE_ACCOUNT \ > --role roles/editor Didn't work and it took me a while to realize why, the cloud build service account wasn't created properly until I launche later the cloud build command. student_00_36e54ecfb235@cloudshell:~ (qwiklabs-gcp-00-4f3ba037c2cd)$ gcloud projects add-iam-policy-binding $PROJECT_ID \ > --member serviceAccount:$CLOUD_BUILD_SERVICE_ACCOUNT \ > --role roles/editor ERROR: Policy modification failed. For a binding with condition, run "gcloud alpha iam policies lint-condition" to identify issues in condition. ERROR: (gcloud.projects.add-iam-policy-binding) INVALID_ARGUMENT: Service account 33336665443@cloudbuild.gserviceaccount.com does not exist. In order to solve this error I ran the cloudbuild example build process And I had the same issue with the aiu-platform and solved it creating a faje training job
