Lab not update, instructions are not clear

Miguel L. · Reviewed over 2 years ago

If there is a way for this lab to be completed, it is beyond me. I'm not sure if it's because AI Platform is deprecated, but the KubeFlow setup steps all complete exactly as expected, **except** that the AI Pipelines endpoint is never created. I can't figure out how to make that part happen, even manually through the cluster UI or through gcloud. It seems to be a bug, but only the first step (which verifies fine, even though it's not working) can be checked - the others all fail because there is seemingly no way to retrieve the Pipelines endpoint (this step: - `ENDPOINT` - set the `ENDPOINT` constant to the endpoint to your AI Platform Pipelines instance. The endpoint to the AI Platform Pipelines instance can be found on the [AI Platform Pipelines](https://console.cloud.google.com/ai-platform/pipelines/clusters) page in the Google Cloud Console. Open the *SETTINGS* for your instance and use the value of the `host` variable in the *Connect to this Kubeflow Pipelines instance from a Python client via Kubeflow Pipelines SKD* section of the *SETTINGS* window. The format is `'...pipelines.googleusercontent.com'`. ). Unfortunately I've wasted hours of my holiday trying and failing to get this to work. I still have not passed this lab, and I'm not sure it's possible unless whatever is broken is fixed. When will this be updated to Vertex AI?

This lab doesn't work, the KubeFlow Pipeline step does not create an endpoint in the application creation step.

Only the checkbox that doesnt attribute points recognizes the deployement of kubeflow and the ai platform workbenches redirects to vertex ai with no notebook instance showing up.
