Spent an hour trying to find the notepad. It is now located under Dataflow and not under Vertex AI! And there is an error under Task 3". The function equal_to is undefined but equal_to_per_window worked.

Vertex AI does not provide Apache Beam notebook, please correct it to Dataflow Workbench.

In order to create the notebook, I had to create a customized one and choose Debyan 10. Otherwise I couldn't find the Apache Beam without GPUs option (as shown in the tutorial). Maybe a note explaining this alternative method would be appreciated by future users.

At the top of the page click New Notebook, and select Smart Analytics Framework > Apache Beam > Without GPUs. Please correct the lab instructions and this is applicable for all the labs. The above option no longer exists in GCP console.

There is no such option in current GCP. "Vertex AI > Workbench > Smart Analytics Framework > Apache Beam > Without GPUs"
